Come and join our fast-growing business at Roamer Batteries! This will be a fun and varied role which would suit an experienced campervan or marine electrician, system designer or tech support engineer.
Roamer is the UKs number one lithium (LiFePO4) leisure battery brand for campervans, boats and houses. Alongside our own brand of batteries, we are also system designer and resellers for Victron Energy products (chargers, inverters etc). Experience and a high degree of working knowledge of lithium batteries and Victron Energy products is essential, although this may be from installing your own campervan electrical system, it doesn't need to be in a professional capacity.
Your job will be to provide first line support to customers who need technical help with the set up, integration and management of their batteries and DC electrical system.
This is a desk based role - you will NOT be expected to work on site. We can therefore offer flexible hours and up to 100% remote working (after initial training period at our office in Leeds City Centre). It would suit someone looking for a permanent office role but could also work for someone looking to work full remote, either from home or while travelling.
What will you be working on?
- Incoming calls and emails from end users and trade installers
- Management of support tickets and repair requests
- Online monitoring and technical support
- Remote commissioning of equipment
- Component specification and quoting
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will be adept at blending their technical ability, excellent communication skills, and flair for creative problem solving to assist our clients across a wide range of projects and applications.
- Significant technical knowledge of batteries, solar and DC electrics
- Experience installing, commissioning and testing a BESS system
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and easy understand way
- Experience in a startup / SME business
- 3+ years in a technical role in renewable industry
- A passion for travel, adventure and the environment
